Mums the Word

Mums the Word

This weekend see’s a double whammy permanent marker entry for the calendar as Mothers Day and the clocks springing forward on the 27th March makes it a date not to be forgotten.

Alongside this and the wonderful weather forecast this week, has surely got us all on the vibe of thinking what will summer bring and making those plans for the good times ahead.

If you are still thinking about what to buy for Mum, then look no further. The Great Yorkshire Dales Proms with its outstanding soundtrack, mind blowing scenery, unbeatable sunset, epic firework display and most importantly of all, memories made for a lifetime are all available in one place.  My mum in particular always says “just take me out for the day” and when are mums wrong we have to ask ourselves?

Alongside Conductor Ben Crick and The Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, Lesley Garrett, Wynne Evans and Sophie Evans, we have also recently confirmed four more acts to perform on July 22nd at Skipton’s Aireville Park.

Jane Burnell, Sophie Clarke, Conrad Chatterton and Zihua Zhang are all welcome, fantastic additions to the line up, giving the evening a bursting at the seams kind of feel. The four new acts bring huge back catalogues between them and yet again give us no alternative than to treat mum later this month.

So whilst remembering to change the clocks is important, sorting mums present alongside the chance to be at a once in a lifetime Proms Spectacular might just be top of that to do list.

To check out the full lineup, how amazing they all are and to enter our competition to win tickets for this not to be missed moment then check out our website and all the normal social media channels. There’s no time to waste as that place in mum’s good books is well and truly calling.
